Sony Xperia S Review - Today we'll review the
Sony Xperia s. Sony start fresh after 10 years of marriage with Ericsson,
Xperia and thus mark a whole lot of experience's first for that. This is the
first handset of Sony "branded", just like the first one with the new
design "icon identity" Xperia line of NXT was renamed.
Sony Xperia S Review - Design
We think Sony does not
give surprises from the outside appearance. Sony Ericsson's legacy still lumpy.
but there is a "compelling on the side of the main part of the button
transparent depanyang there are navigation buttons illuminated light lights
when the phone is off. The transparent part is a little reminiscent of the
futuristic design of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness. But, the design is thin
and elongated this troublesome typing with one hand. Uniquely, the Sony
Ericsson logo remains preserved. but the plastic materials are chosen to make
the premium impression Xperia S tend to decrease.
Sony Xperia S Review - Hardware
Sony has equipped the S
Xperia with a solid line-up of hardware. It is a processor that is not enough
to conclude the competition on paper, though. Many of Google's smartphone
launched this year has a quad-core chip but Xperia S take 1.5 GHz Qualcomm
dual-core processors. This coupled with the current standard of 1 GB of RAM.
The screen is probably
the best features of Xperia s. On 4.3 in, it strikes a good balance between
being large but manageable. It says to use a Sony Mobile Bravia engine and has
impressive 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. This means it has one of the
highest pixel density that we've seen on a smartphone in a 341ppi defeat-higher
than even the iPhone 4S 326ppi. Screen
is up there with the best, competing with the iPhone 4S and HTC one x.
individual pixels are not made out to ensure than whatever is displayed on the
screen is clearly visible.
Sony Xperia S Review - Camera
Xperia's camera has 12
megapixel with LED flash and video recording 1080p. Been a while since someone
made a 12 megapixel camera. N8, it seems, is the last of its kind and Nokia do
the work great with a camera on that phone that others just sort of gave up and
began to concentrate on the 8 megapixel camera.
The camera's software is
simple and well put the Xperia comes out. By default the camera opens in auto
mode, which automatically adjust any parameters that depend on the scene. You
can switch to Normal mode, at which point you can adjust camera settings such
as focus metering mode mode, white balance, ISO settings.
Sony Xperia S Review - Batteray
Xperia s comes with a
750mAh battery is not replaceable, 1. With the internal battery to stay that
way, you will want the battery life to be great. Unfortunately, it's not but not
too bad either. In our testing, the Xperia's managed to last up to 10 hours on
a full charge with normal use. Heavy use such as games or HD video playback to
drain the battery much faster, with a phone that barely lasted half a day. In
our test the video playback, the Xperia's last for five hours while playing
videos 720 p Player shares with the stock headset screen brightness at 75%,
which is again decent but not great.
